Peri Chicken Livers & Chips


Harvestime Straight Cut Chips
1 kg Chicken Livers
2 tablespoons garlic crushed
1 large onion diced
2 red peppers diced
2 teaspoons chili powder
3 teaspoons paprika
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon cumin
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 cup Chicken stock
½ cup cream
Salt and pepper to taste



Serves: 6-8
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes


  1. In a pot add oil and allow to heat, fry onions until caramelized
  2. Add the red pepper and garlic and cook for a further 3-5 minutes
  3. Now add the chicken livers and cook for about 5 minutes until browned
  4. Add the bay leaf, salt and the rest of the spices and fry for 2 minutes
  5. Add the tomato paste and stock and cook for about 8-10 minutes
  6. Now add the cream and simmer for a minute and remove from heat
  7. Adjust seasoning
  8. Garnish with parsley
  9. Serve with Harvestime Straight Cut Chips
