Lemon & Garlic Hake, Chips & Salad


1 packet Harvestime Straight Cut Chips
1 kg Hake fillets
3 cloves garlic crushed
2 teaspoons paprika
2 Lemons – zest the lemon. Juice 1 lemon and thinly slice the other lemon
Small bunch of Parsley – finely chopped
1 cup Sliced green peppers
Salt and pepper to taste


Serves: 4 - 6
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 20 - 25 minutes


  1. Cook chips according to package instructions
  2. Preheat oven to 180 Degrees Celsius
  3. In a bowl, add the garlic, paprika, lemon zest and chopped parsley and mix well
  4. Melt the margarine in a saucepan over medium heat, once melted remove from the heat
  5. Add the garlic and paprika mixture into the melted margarine, swirl it into the butter
  6. Coat the hake in the melted margarine mixture
  7. Place the coated hake into a deep oven proof casserole (to save the delicious sauce)
  8. Top with the sliced green peppers
  9. Pour the remaining of the margarine mixture over the hake and peppers and bake for 15-20 minutes
  10. Enjoy with Harvestime Chips and a side salad
