Crispy Chicken, Chips & Gravy


1 packet Harvestime Slap Chips


1,5kg Chicken Pieces

½ - 1 cup flour

2 teaspoons paprika

2 teaspoons fresh garlic crushed  

2 teaspoons mixed herbs

Salt and pepper

For the Gravy:

2 cups Chicken stock

1 tablespoon Normal fat spread

1 tablespoon Flour

1 tablespoon Onion soup powder


Serves: 5

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes

Total Time: 45 – 60 minutes


  1. Fry the chips until half done and set aside
  2. Preheat oven to 200 Degrees Celsius
  3. Combine the flour, paprika, garlic flakes, mixed herbs, salt and pepper and place in ziplock bag
  4. Add the chicken to the bag, zip the bag and toss well until the chicken is nicely coated
  5. Place the chicken in an oven proof dish and pour over melted margarine
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning once
  7. Enjoy with friends and family.
