Tin Fish Curry
Tin Fish Curry & Peas

Ingredients

½ cup Harvestime Peas

oil

1 onion chopped

2 cloves garlic crushed

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

Curry leaf

2 tablespoons curry powder

1 tin chopped tomato

250 grams brinjal cubed

1 can tinned fish

Salt to taste

Chopped dhania

Served with Pap

 

Directions

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Cooking Time: 30 - 35 minutes

Serves: 6

 

  1. Heat a pot on medium heat 
  2. Add the onions and allow to caramelize 
  3. Next add the garlic and cumin seeds – braise for a minute before adding the curry powder and curry leaf 
  4. Mix well and add the chopped tomatoes 
  5. Add the cubed brinjal and allow to cook for about 25-30 minutes until the brinjal has softened – add a little water if needed 
  6. Add the tinned fish and peas and simmer for 5 minutes on low and switch off 
  7. Garnish with chopped dhania 
  8. Serve hot with pap
