Spicy Giblets with Peas


Harvestime Green Peas

2 tablespoons oil

1,2 kg giblets

1 large onion diced

3 teaspoons garlic and ginger  

3 tablespoons curry powder

1 teaspoon cumin powder

3 large tomatoes chopped

Water as necessary

Chopped coriander

Salt and pepper to taste



Serves: 6-8
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour

  1. In a large pot, add oil and fry the giblets for 5 minutes
  2. Add the onions and fry for a further 5 minutes
  3. Now add the garlic and ginger, curry powder, cumin powder and a dash of water
  4. Mix well
  5. Add the tomatoes, salt and pepper according to taste and cook for 5 minutes
  6. Add ½ cup of water and cook for a further 30 minutes
  7. Keep checking that the water does not dry – add more if needed
  8. Now add the peas and cook for a further 10 minutes until done
  9. Adjust seasoning & serve with pap
  10. Enjoy with your Family.
