Soya Mince Cottage Pie


250 grams Harvestime Butternut Chunks

500 grams Harvestime Diced Potato

200 grams soya mince


1 onion chopped

2 teaspoons garlic and herb seasoning

1 can tinned tomato

Salt and pepper to taste



Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 45 -60 minutes

Serves: 6


  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius 
  2. Boil potatoes win water until soft, mash with butter and warmed milk and set aside 
  3. Soak the soya mince according to package instructions 
  4. Heat a pot on medium heat 
  5. Add the onions and allow to caramelize 
  6. Next add the garlic and herb seasoning – braise for a minute before adding the chopped tomatoes 
  7. Add the chopped tomatoes and butternut chunks and mix well 
  8. Add in the soya mince and simmer on low for about 15 minutes 
  9. Adjust the seasoning 
  10. Transfer to an oven proof dish, top with the potato mash and bake for 35- 40 minutes until golden brown
