Mince, Green Beans & Potato Curry


2 cups Harvestime Green Beans

800 grams Beef Mince

2 tablespoons Oil

2 fresh chillies

2 onions diced

2 tablespoon garlic and ginger

3 tablespoons curry powder

2 tablespoons tomato paste mixed with a little water

2 large tomatoes chopped

3 large potatoes diced

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped coriander


Serves: 4 - 6
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes – 1 hour


  1. Heat oil in large pot and fry the onions until translucent
  2. Add the chillies and garlic and ginger and cook for a minute before adding the curry powder, mix with the onions and be careful that the spices don’t burn
  3. Add the mince and allow fry for about 10 minutes
  4. Add the tomato/water mixture and the chopped tomatoes, followed by the green beans and potatoes
  5. Allow to cook for until green beans and potatoes are done
  6. Adjust seasoning
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped coriander
  8. Serve with rice or pap
