Crispy Fried Fish & Slap Chips

Ingredients

Harvestime Slap Chips

4 X Hake fillets

1 egg

½ cup flour

2 teaspoons water

2 cups breadcrumbs

Oil for frying

Directions

Serves: 5

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes  

 

  1. Cook the Slap Chips according to package instructions
  2. Pat dry the fish fillets and season with salt and pepper
  3. Whisk eggs with the water until its frothy
  4. Place the breadcrumbs in a separate bowl
  5. Dip the fish in the egg wash, then the flour, followed by the bread crumbs
  6. Shake off any excess and set the fish aside until ready to fry
  7. Heat oil in a large pan and when hot start frying the fish, about 2-3 minutes per side
  8. Serve with Harvestime Slap Chips, mayo and tomato sauce
