Country Chicken Neck Stew


500 grams Harvestime Country Crop (2 x 250grams)

1 kg chicken necks

2 tablespoons Oil

1 large onion sliced

3 teaspoons crushed garlic

3 teaspoons mixed herbs

1 tablespoon curry powder of choice

2 teaspoons paprika

3 large tomatoes chopped

1 cup chicken stock

Chopped parsley

Salt and pepper


Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Serves: 5


  1. Add oil to a large pot on medium heat and add the onions, fry until translucent
  2. Add the garlic, paprika and mixed herbs and mix well
  3. Now in with the chicken necks and fry for 5 minutes before adding the tomatoes and stock
  4. Season and mix well
  5. Allow to simmer on medium heat for about 20 minutes, add water if needed
  6. Add in the Country Crop veg and cook for a further 10 minutes until the veggies have softened and the necks are cooked, garnish with chopped parsley and serve
