Chicken Livers Kota


Harvestime Straight Cut Chips

500grams Chicken Livers


1 tablespoon garlic crushed

1 onion diced

1 green pepper diced

2 teaspoons chili powder

2 teaspoons paprika

1 tablespoon tomato paste



Salt and pepper to taste

Unsliced bread


Serves: 1 -2

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes


  1. In a pot add oil and allow to heat, fry onions until caramelized
  2. Add the green pepper and garlic and cook for a further 3-5 minutes
  3. Now add the chicken livers and cook for about 5 minutes until browned
  4. Add the salt and the rest of the spices and fry for 2 minutes
  5. Add the tomato paste, with water and cook for about 8-10 minutes
  6. Remove from heat
  7. Adjust seasoning
  8. Fry an egg to desired preference
  9. Assemble the Kota – add chips, top with chicken livers and fried egg
  10. Garnish with parsley
